Overview
The Maryland Neighbourhood Centre works to support and build the social well-being of residents in Maryland, Fletcher, Blue Gum Hills and Minmi. It’s a welcoming, safe and inclusive space where people can gain help, information, advice and support. It offers a range of support services, programs and activities for people of all ages. The Centre connects people to the resources and support they need from available support services. We connect people with the broader community. Our Centre is a place where people can forge new connections and engage in a mix of programs. The Centre also runs various community activities and events from time to time to help foster community connections and sense of community belonging. We offer a range of free services including, but not limited to:
- Information, advice and referral
- Advocacy
- Food relief
- Emergency relief (vouchers) aide
- Sanitary items
- Volunteering opportunities
- Specialist services (eg; financial counselling / psychology)
- Low cost room hire (hall and office space available)
- Education and skills training
- Coffee kiosk
- Little Free Library (books and DVDs)
