Acknowledgment of Traditional landowners

The Canopy acknowledges the Awabakal People, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and learn. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We honour the collective knowledge and experience of First Nations Peoples within our community, families, and organisation. We value our connections with community and commit to ongoing listening and learning as we walk alongside First Nations Peoples.

Statement of Commitment to Equity and Diversity

We value each person’s worth and identity. We will treat each person with respect and dignity. We will strive to make our services and business inclusive for our staff and community. It’s our wish that each one feels accepted and safe with us. We will continue to learn and understand. We will build our appreciation of equity and diversity. This will guide what we do and can best care in a way which covers the diversity of the community and our staff.

Statement of Commitment to Child Safety

The Canopy is committed to keeping children and young people safe. Children and young people have a fundamental right to be safe from harm and to grow up free of violence and exploitation. We have a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of abuse, neglect, violence or exploitation of children and young people.
